15th Greece Race for the Cure®

44,000 ran, walked and supported the fight against breast cancer!

On Sunday, October 1, the Zappeion square and the streets of Athens were filled with thousands of people who participated in the anniversary Greece Race for the Cure®, celebrated the 15 years of the event and conveyed the message that TOGETHER we are stronger than breast cancer.

Notos Department Stores were there, with the presence of many of our colleagues who took part in both the 5 km walk and the 2 km walk and contributed to the purpose of the Event, combining a pleasant Sunday morning in the center of Athens with their exercise.

A great Thank You to everyone, for their participation!

Many officials addressed the event of Athens, such as the Mayor of the City, Mr. Kostas Bakoyannis and the President of the Hellenic Cancer Federation (ELLOK), Mr. George Kapetanakis.

For one more year, as part of the Race for the Cure, on the occasion of October, month dedicated to breast cancer awareness and prevention, on Saturday night, Zappeion was "dressed" in pink, to remind us that breast cancer is here and it concerns us all and everyone.

Proceeds from the event will support free programs that will be provided all year round:

• For the social and psychological support and information of women with breast cancer

• To promote life-saving disease prevention and early diagnosis

• To improve the quality of life

• To claim quality medical care and forethought for breast cancer patients

Moreover, as part of support and solidarity in the affected areas of Thessaly, one of the funded programs of the 15th Greece Race for the Cure® will be implemented in collaboration with the scientific companies and local associations of the region, with the aim of meeting the needs of women with cancer breast in the affected areas of the district.
